Ten week summer program for underrepresented minority students to increase interest and knowledge of public health and biomedical science careers
SUMMER 2012
May 28—August 3
Eligible Participants are:
-students who have completed at least two years of college or recent college graduates
-African American/Black, Hispanic /Latino, American Indian,
Alaska Native, Asian American, Native Hawaiian and other Pacific
Islander
and/or economically disadvantaged
SPHSP offerings include:
● Public Health field experience
● seminars and lectures with public health leaders
● faculty mentoring
● visit to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Atlanta, GA
● stipend upon program completion
