summer is coming and it’s time to go in heavy on movies.
on the top of the list should be Filly Brown. this is an independent film that follows the story of a young female mc whose passion to make it in the business takes her and her family through many turns. what i love about the movie is how down to earth and real the characters are. you feel their emotion and the trauma that they have been through. the movie grabs you from the beginning to the end. you leave recognizing the power of love, family and dreaming big.
young actress, Gina Rodriguez who plays Filly Brown is exceptional! and you won’t believe the amazing performance of Jenni Rivera in her final on screen performance. overall Filly Brown is a must see film.
